Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Pittsburg Epoxy Floors and Concrete website and any estimate, proposal or work you get from us. When you use the site, contact us or accept an estimate, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work with us.
If a signed proposal or contract for your job says something different from this page, the signed document controls for that job.
What we do
We're a flooring contractor in Pittsburg, CA, and we install, repair and prepare concrete floors for homes and businesses in Pittsburg and the cities around it. That includes epoxy and polyaspartic coatings, polished and stained concrete, grinding and surface prep, sealing, resurfacing, overlays and removal of old coatings. You can see the full list on our home page and read more about our crew on our about page.
The descriptions on this site are general. The exact work, materials and finish for your floor are the ones written into your estimate or proposal.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free and come with no obligation. We base them on what we can see during the visit, including the size of the area, the condition of the concrete, the coating or finish you choose and how much prep the slab needs.
Some conditions only show up once the work starts, such as moisture coming up through the slab, hidden cracks, old adhesive or a coating that won't come off cleanly. If we find something that changes the scope or the price, we'll stop, explain it to you and get your approval before we do the extra work.
An estimate is good for the period written on it. After that, we may need to update the price because material costs and schedules change.
Scheduling and cancellation
We schedule your job once you accept the estimate. Start and finish dates are our best plan, but weather, temperature, humidity, slab moisture and material deliveries can move them, and coatings need set cure times before you can walk or park on them. We'll tell you as soon as we know a date has to change.
You're responsible for clearing the work area, giving our crew access and keeping people and pets off the floor until we tell you it's ready. If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as early as you can. Any cancellation charge or refund of a deposit follows what your written proposal says, and costs for materials ordered for your job may not be refundable.
Payment
The payment schedule, any deposit and the accepted payment methods are written in your proposal. Final payment is due when the work described in the proposal is finished, unless the proposal says otherwise.
Approved changes to the work are billed as agreed in writing. If a payment is late, we may pause further work until the account is current, and you may be responsible for reasonable collection costs where California law allows them.
Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover
We're licensed and fully insured, and our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something about the finished floor isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it and make it right where the problem comes from our workmanship.
Any written warranty for your job is the one in your proposal, and manufacturer warranties on coatings and materials come from the maker, not from us. Neither covers damage from misuse, impacts, harsh chemicals, hot tire pickup on surfaces not rated for it, moisture or settling in the concrete under the floor, ground movement, or repairs and changes made by someone else. Apart from what's written in your proposal, we don't make other warranties, express or implied, to the extent the law allows.
The information on this website is for general guidance. Colors, textures and finishes in photos can look different on your concrete, and no website content replaces an in-person look at your floor.
Limits on our liability
To the extent California law allows, our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of a garage or business space, lost income or damage caused by conditions that existed before we started.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, including liability for our own gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Resolving a disagreement
If you have a problem with our work or a bill, call us at (925) 318-8041 or reach us through our contact page first. Most issues get settled quickly once we can talk it through and look at the floor together.
If we can't settle it that way, both sides agree to try good-faith mediation before going to court, unless a claim belongs in small claims court.
Governing law
These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any court case that goes forward will be filed in the courts serving Contra Costa County, California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the current one. Changes don't affect a job already covered by a signed proposal unless both of us agree in writing.
If you have questions about these terms, call us at (925) 318-8041 or use our contact page.
