How a floor coating salesman became an installer
I started out selling floor coatings, first behind a supply counter and then calling on contractors, and I kept hearing why floors failed. When a coating peeled or bubbled, it usually wasn't the product. It was bad prep or a damp slab, so I learned the work on the job under an experienced installer and started Pittsburg Epoxy Floors and Concrete here in 2017.
Since then we've become best known for coated and polished concrete floors, garages especially, and for the odd floor other crews pass on. Homeowners around Pittsburg call us, and so do shop and warehouse owners who need a floor that can take a beating. I spent years in sales, so I know what a pitch sounds like. I'd rather ask you a lot of questions about your floor and give you a straight answer about what it can handle.
What you get when we work on your floor
We're a licensed and fully insured local crew, and what sets us apart mostly shows up in the work done before anything goes down on your concrete.
We start with the slab underneath
Before we talk colors or systems, we look for dampness, cracks and old coatings, because most floors that fail went wrong before the first coat. That's how we pick a system that fits your slab and the way you use the space.
A plain comparison, not a pitch
I've sold these products and installed them, so I can tell you what epoxy, polyaspartic or polished concrete will and won't handle in your space. We like damp basements and cracked slabs, and if yours isn't a good fit, you'll hear that from me.
Prep gets the most time
Grinding the surface open and fixing cracks are the parts you won't see once the floor is done, so we don't rush them. They're what makes a new coating hold.
What to expect from first call to finished floor
A floor job with us runs in three steps, and you'll know who's coming out, what we found in your slab and what happens next before any work starts.
Call or send the form

I come look at your floor
I come out myself, look over the slab, take moisture readings where they're needed and ask how you use the space. You get a written estimate, free and with no obligation.
We check permits and start
We check with the city or county office for your address and pull any permit the job needs. Our own installers do the work, and I'm there for the prep and check in through the rest.
